Masala Dabba

Traditionally a Masala Dabba is a one-stop shop for your go-to spices. It is usually in a stainless steal tin with several smaller pots within it. It’s really meant to save time while cooking. Instead of opening several containers of spices, you have them all ready ago. To be honest, I was never a fan of masala dabbas because I’ve had one too many fall or slip or tilt and then all the spices were mixed up. (don’t let this be a hint to my cooking skills lol)

While ramping up for this blog, I tried it out again and I love it. Its gorgeous. There is something so gratifying about seeing how beautiful the colors come together. I know I can’t be the only one that takes several photos of their masala dabba.

So what’s in it? 1. Cinnamon Sticks 2. Whole Cardamom 3. Garam Masala 4. Hot Chili Peppers 5. Cumin, Mustard Seed & Fenugreek mixture 6. Chili Powder and 7. Turmeric Powder. Stay tuned to diving into these individual spices and more.
